On the 2 November we woke up to a wonderful sunny day, and we decided to head for the beach. It took a little bit of convincing to get Nana to join us (Papa was keen) but in the end, Gordon and I picked them up and drove up the coast to Umdloti Beach. We set up an umbrella and chairs for Nana and Papa. Nana headed straight for the water, with me right behind her and Gordon right behind me (and baby of course). The water was a bit cold - but once you were in, it was lovely. Papa sat under the umbrella, but we were not going to take no for an answer... we all called and waved to Papa to come and join us, which he eventually did! WOW - I think the last time Papa went swimming was about 20 years ago! We all had fun in the sun and we ate Hot Dogs for lunch, followed by an ice-cream (as you can see).
Hopefully the sun will come out again soon, and we can have many more days like this one!

Classic pics of Nana and Papa...lol. They certainly brought about a few chuckles here at home. Actually with all the ice-cream on Nana's face, it looks like you've taken her out of TAFTA for a treat!(kidding!)
